 | | | Altar Valley Restoration - Pima Pineapple Cactus Survey - Tucson |  | | This project is on grazing lands at the upper end of Altar Valley, located southwest of Tucson, and is part of the Altar Valley Conservation Alliance restoration program. Part of this program is the reintroduction of fire, which is a critical component of range land health. To reintroduce fire through controlled burns, the provisions of the Endangered Species Act requires a survey and relocation of the Pima Pineapple Cactus.
